A little bit about me
and my previous work

Welcome to my website. My name is Penny Cockerill and I am a professional freelance proofreader, who trained and qualified in retirement.  I was previously an information specialist and librarian within the National Health Service, in both academic and clinical environments, and local government.

I specialize in providing proofreading solutions for clients wishing to put a final accurate polish on their work, whether it be fiction or non-fiction, printed or web-based. My customers include writers, website editors, advertisers and students.

My subject specialties include medicine and the pharmaceutical sciences, children’s literature, self-help books, horticulture and dogs, amongst others. I have excellent spelling skills and knowledge of Latin nomenclature and completed my education with a Master’s degree.
